UPDATE: March 2025

Construction is well underway for Hyde Park and Nibley's new middle schools.

Nibley's middle school:

At Nibley, construction is progressing on schedule and within budget. Plumbing and electrical installation has begun for the interior walls.

Hyde Park's middle school:

The Hyde Park middle school walls are nearing completion, and the ICF walls are projected to be complete by the end of the month. The installation of plumbing and electrical systems for interior walls is progressing steadily. Roofing installation will begin in April. Overall, the project is 2-3 months ahead of schedule.

Hyde Park's elementary school:

Hyde Park's elementary school renderings are undergoing review. Public bids for the project will begin on March 25th, 2025, and close on April 10th, 2025. The building is on schedule to open for the 2026-2027 school year.

NEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
During the June 6, 2024 board meeting, Superintendent McKee presented a proposal for the new elementary school to be built on a parcel of land near 300 North and 400 East in Hyde Park. This land, which is already owned by the district, would accommodate a two-story school building that could house between 475 and 525 students. The location would serve only Hyde Park children, allowing for more efficient transportation for local students and easing overcrowding in the district's current elementary schools. It is anticipated that the new elementary school will be finished and operational for the 2027-28 school year. The Cache County Board of Education will vote on whether to accept the recommended site or not at the June 20 board meeting.

NEW MIDDLE SCHOOLS
Work is steadily progressing at the new middle school sites in Hyde Park and Nibley.

Ground is being cleared at each of the new middle school sites! Each new middle school will have the capacity to host up to 1,200 6th- through 8th-grade students. Stay tuned for details and pictures of this exciting progress!

The building address for the new Hyde Park Middle School is 200 West 250 South, Hyde Park, UT. The building address for the new Nibley Middle School is 915 West 3200 South, Nibley, UT. The building address for the new northern end elementary building is still to be determined.
