    3. Introduction of this year’s PTA Board: Heather Holmes- President, Kim Kikkert- President Elect, Stefani Willie- Treasurer, Adie Krambule- Secretary, Kristina Johnson- Legislative VP, Mr. Robins- Administrative VP, Brian Heinsohn- Teacher VP

    VOTING ITEMS:

    1. PTA Budget for 2024-25 – VOTE need 10 people (1st, 2nd)

      1. Quorum was established

      2. Heather moved to pass budget, 2nd by Emily Rigby

      3. Budget was approved unanimously. 12 members present on voting

    2. Adopt E-Commerce Policy

      1. All signatures acquired

    REGULAR AGENDA ITEMS:

    1. Financial Report- Stefani Willie

      1. August 1, 2024; $30,985.02

      2. Income: $3,280.86

      3. Expenditures: $1,113.15

      4. August 31, 2024: $33,152.73

    1. Principal Update- Mr. Robins

      1. Oct. 28 - Nov. 1 PTA Safety Week

      2. Sept. 28 Safe Routes assembly

        1. Concerned about kids’ safety during Halloween

      3. Ballet West will come do an assembly some time

      4. Jump rope is coming back

      5. An author will come

      6. Increased security for school: More cameras added, doors looked all day, front doors scheduled to open and close during certain times

      7. Middle school construction is underway: Extra helper hired to help during lunch recess to keep students safe

      8. Give back community service project from last Saturday went well. Volunteers helped clean school grounds

      9. Drop off/pick up: How to get cars to pull all the forward

        1. Put note on Facebook page to remind parents to pull forward and not allow their kids to exit cars on driver’s side

        2. Possible bike rack on east side of building

    1. Service Club- Mr. Mallory

      1. 65 kids signed up for kindness committee

        1. Students are to complete 10 hours of service for the year

        2. There will be a kindness presentation night to showcase students’ projects

      2. Service club last Friday on Sept 27: Student will heart attack new staff and gift staff member’s favorite treat

      3. $ for Service club

      4. All students are invited to participate in service club. Parent volunteers needed to help with younger children

      1. Encourage kids to make an entry

      2. Prizes will be art kits for all the kids who participated 

      3. Entries will be on display in library afterwards

      4. Judges will be needed to judge entries

      5. Recognition night TBA

    1. Set Halloween/Christmas party date/times – Thurs Oct 31 2:30-3:30, Fri Dec 20th 1:50-2:20

      1. First ever Halloween parade. Time is still undecided

    1. Conflict of Interest and Fiscal Management signatures

      1. Unable to get teachers’ thoughts since Brian did not attend meeting

    FYI:

    • PTA Membership: 40

    • PTA will donate in grants this year-

      • $11,400 for field trips, $500 for playground equipment, $500 service club

    • Thank you to Courtney Walker for doing the Spirit Wear and monthly newsletters!

    • Thank you to Rindy Bingham for organizing kickbacks this year!

    • Birthday treats will be organized by Taylor Jewell

    • Safety Week Oct 28-Nov 1 cochairs are Heidi Burton and Betsy Stromberg
