Hey Dragons,
This month we have a few items to take note of. First, parent input forms for next year’s class placement will be available in the main office from March 17th - March 28th. Class placement begins right after spring break, so all parent input forms must be back by the end of school on the 28th to be taken into consideration. These forms are not Teacher request forms.
I’m excited to announce Greenville Reads a Book will start on the 17th of March and run through the 28th. Your student will be bringing this book home on Friday the 14th of March with a reading schedule. Each child gets a bookmark and each family gets a book. Please see attachments in the email.
Greenville’s Got Talent auditions will be on April 10th at 3:45 in the gym. The assembly will be held the following week on the 18th.

Hello Families!
I can't believe it's already March and we only have three more character traits for this school year! For the month of March, we will be focusing on 'mindfulness'. Mindfulness can look different for everyone.
Some examples of showing mindfulness in the school setting include:
-Being aware of your body and mind during various emotions
-Taking a second to focus on your breathing
-Focusing on the 5 senses
-Being fully present
-Regulating emotions throughout the dayAnd so many more! Take a moment to talk about this at home with your student(s) and we will be looking to hand out lots of green tickets this month for the students demonstrating mindfulness!

Greetings from the library!
The first week in March is Read Across America Week, beginning with the birthday of Dr. Seuss. In fact, the entire month of March is dedicated to reading. What a great time to sit down with your child and enjoy a book together! One of my favorite poems is titled The Reading Mother by Strickland Gillilan. It includes this stanza:
You may have tangible wealth untold;
Caskets of jewels and coffers of gold.
Richer than I you can never be--
I had a Mother who read to me.I feel this sentiment applies to anyone who reads with a child and shares with them the magic and wonder of books and stories.
Speaking of reading together, did you know that AR quizzes can be taken on books that are read independently by your student, read with someone else, or listened in person or on audiobook? All are beneficial and will help your student learn to love books and reading.
For a link to Sora, a district-sponsored app that is free to use and gives our students access to hundreds of ebooks and audiobooks, click here: https://soraapp.com/home Then sign in to Cache County School District using your student’s school username and password.
Our next quiz deadline is Friday, March 14th, and the prizes will be handed out the following week. For more information and links to AR, see our school website under “Media Resources”. https://www.ccsdut.org/Page/4677
Thank you for supporting the library and for taking good care of the books we all share. It helps our library run smoothly when students return books on time and in good condition. Using the library helps our students learn responsibility, and being responsible is a big part of the Dragon Way!
